The Living Inventory
In the Shadows of Aethro world, your inventory is a habitat. Inventory Pets are small, animated creatures that grant incredible buffs in exchange for care and food. They must be held in your hotbar to function.
Core Mechanics
Before you begin your journey, master these three concepts:
Feeding
Pets consume food automatically. If they run out, their abilities stop instantly.
The Feed Bag
Store all your pet foods in one bag to save inventory space. Pets will pull from it automatically.
Hotbar Rule
Passive abilities only trigger if the pet is in your 1-9 slots or an active Curios slot.
Passive Pets
Cloud Pet
Provides fast flight and slow falling. Perfect for aerial builds.
Nether QuartzOcelot Pet
Grants Night Vision and scares away pesky Creepers.
Cooked FishSquid Pet
Permanent Water Breathing and increased swim speed.
Raw FishUtility Pets
Crafting Table
Open a 3x3 crafting grid anywhere in the world with a right click.
Wooden PlanksAnvil Pet
Automatically repairs the items in your inventory over time.
Iron IngotsChest Pet
Mobile storage that acts as a portable single chest.

Creeper Pet
Right-click for a localized explosion that does not harm you or your base.
GunpowderIron Golem
Provides a temporary shield that absorbs all incoming physical damage.
Iron IngotsMagma Cube
Complete Fire Resistance. Allows you to walk on lava pools.
Nether QuartzLegendary Finds
These cannot be crafted. They are hidden in Aethro loot chests.
Illuminati
Randomly spawns rare items into your inventory every few minutes.
EmeraldsBlack Hole
Sucks in projectiles and entities. Great for mob farming.
