THE LAWS OF SHADOWS
These are the iron laws that govern the realm of Shadows of Aethro. To walk these lands is to accept this covenant. Violation results in exile from the alliance.
I. General Conduct
Treat all travelers with basic decency. Bigotry, harassment, and targeted hostility are strictly forbidden. We are a queer friendly and anti-fascist sanctuary. Respect identities and pronouns without exception.
II. Sovereignty & Theft
Stealing from others or griefing unprotected lands is prohibited. Respect the boundaries of player colonies and builds. If it is not yours, do not touch it.
III. Arcane Integrity
No cheating, hacked clients, or exploiting bugged mechanics. Using unintended glitches for gain is a violation of the covenant. Report any anomalies to the custodians immediately.
IV. The Rite of Loss
Death is a permanent anchor in the shadows. We only reach across the veil if a rift in the world's code (a bug) claimed your soul.
Sacrifice (NO RECOVERY)

- Slain by Mobs
- Crushed by Machines
- Death by Fire or Gravity
Salvage (TICKET ONLY)
- Server Collapse or Lag
- Verified Rifts in Code (Bugs)
- Magical Glitches
- Dimensional Phasing
Recovery petitions must be submitted via Discord ticket. Normal gameplay deaths will not be considered.
V. Industrial Ethics
Ensure your Create contraptions and MineColonies logistics do not cause excessive strain on the server essence. Staff may pause or dismantle machines that threaten the realm's stability.
VI. Blood & Combat
Combat is a natural part of the wilds, but it must be honorable. PvP is permitted within the realm, but the act of noob killing: the intentional slaying of new or defenseless travelers: is strictly prohibited.
VII. The False Vigil
The realm demands true presence. Utilizing mechanical pools, arcane scripts (macros), or contraptions to bypass the slumber-timer is prohibited. If you must step away, allow your connection to fade; do not artificially anchor your soul to the server to hoard resources while absent.
