Ancient & Unforgiving
ELF The Sylvan Exiles
Where humans adapt and conquer, elves remember and endure.
Graceful, long-lived, and bound to the subtle currents of magic.
Elves remember the age before the First Great War, when magic flowed freely and the Mana Seed was not yet feared. They are slow to trust, slower still to forget an injury, and patient beyond mortal reckoning.

Racial Traits
The weight of the ancient world.
To play an elf is to carry the memory of a world most races know only through broken records and half-burned myths. Elves are intimately tied to the natural magic of Aethro, making them graceful, perceptive, and quietly powerful. In the present age, that same gift has made them hunted.
Attunement to the Natural World
Elves possess an unmatched affinity for the wilds. They naturally excel in skills such as Archery, Woodland Sneak, Herbology, and Animal Taming. Where a human army must hack through a forest, an elf moves through it like wind through leaves.
Subtle Currents of Magic
Because they remember when magic flowed freely from the unbroken Mana Seed, elves retain a natural bond with ambient energies. This grants them a slight edge in Arcane Lore and Spellcraft, but marks them for death under Pryden's Inquisition.
Patient Beyond Mortal Reckoning
Elven lifespans stretch across centuries. They are cautious tacticians and patient observers, granting them higher natural Wisdom and Dexterity. Yet their long view can become a weakness in a world changing by the day.
Exiles of the Ancient World
Elves in the Present Day.
Because Pryden Mortis III outlawed all magic under penalty of death, the elves of Kalismor have been hunted, scattered, and driven into secrecy. Some vanish into ancient forests. Others flee beyond Kalismor's borders into Kodaisdain. A few remain hidden in plain sight, surviving behind false names, sealed magic, and bitter patience.
“An elf does not forget the wound. They merely wait until the world forgets who held the knife.”
Elven saying, translated from old woodland verse
Many elves have allied with rogue mages, teaching ancient techniques used to hide magical signatures from Pryden's Inquisition.
Younger elves who believe patience has become surrender now aid the resistance seeking Prince Kaelen Everdawn.
Elder elves are respected in Kodaisdain, where their oral histories help translate pre-war texts and preserve forbidden knowledge.
Some elves remain in ancient woodland enclaves, guarding old paths, sealed ruins, and memories the world has tried to bury.
A few survive within hostile cities by concealing their ancestry, binding their magic, and trusting no record that can be burned.
In the realm of Philosopher-King Dainar Vorthas, elven memory is treated as a living archive rather than a crime.
Historical Record
Memory older than kingdoms.
Elves have watched the world wound itself again and again. Their history is not written only in books, but carried in song, oath, grief, and bloodline.
Before the First Great War
The Age of Living Magic
Elven oral histories speak of a time when magic flowed freely and the Mana Seed was not yet feared. In those days, elves lived in close harmony with the wild places of Aethro and the unseen currents beneath them.
The First Great War
Witnesses to Ruin
When the world was torn by war and the Mana Seed became a source of terror, elves endured the collapse of ancient powers. Their histories preserved what other peoples forgot, denied, or destroyed.
Present Day
The Iron Reign
Under Lord Pryden Mortis III, magic has been outlawed under penalty of death. To the Inquisition, elven blood itself is evidence of forbidden sorcery. The Sylvan Exiles now face a choice: hide, flee, remember, or strike back.
Will you remain hidden, seek vengeance, or restore the natural currents of magic?
