Hold onto your pixelated pickaxes and moderation hammers, folks, because we’ve got two new recruits ready to dive headfirst into the Aethro madness! 🛠️ Hashim is joining our Gaming Department as a Community Moderator for our Minecraft server. That means he’ll be helping to keep the creepers at bay, ensuring our community stays awesome, and probably resisting the urge to /ban anyone who mines straight down. (Cough Tristan, we’re looking at you. We all know your mining methods are a war crime against efficiency. 👀) 💬 Bo is stepping up as part of our Discord Moderation Team, making sure the chat stays fun, friendly, and free from total anarchy. With a sharp eye and a banhammer (which we swear is not just a rubber chicken), Bo is here to keep the vibes immaculate. Just a heads-up, Bo—Odaishi has a habit of “stress-testing” mods by acting like a rogue AI. If you see a mysteriously intelligent bot dropping cryptic messages about world domination… yeah, that’s just her. Probably. 🎊 Let’s give them both a warm Aethro welcome! Whether you’re tossing a friendly “hello” in chat, challenging them to a totally-not-rigged-in-your-favor game, or warning them about the questionable leadership choices of Odaishi and Tristan (kidding… mostly), let’s make them feel at home. Now, let’s see who survives their first week without rage-quitting… or getting drafted into whatever chaotic scheme Odaishi and Tristan have cooking this time.

Aethro Monthly Update - January 2025 Greetings, Aethro Community! As we kick off 2025, we’re excited to share some updates and highlights about what’s been happening behind the scenes at Aethro. Our team has been hard at work, and we have some exciting announcements to share, including the much-anticipated launch of our World of Warcraft private server! Starting this month, we will be sharing these recaps regularly to keep you informed about our latest projects, plans, and updates. What We’ve Been Working On: 1. Shadows of Aethro – World of Warcraft Private Server - We are thrilled to announce that our World of Warcraft private server, Shadows of Aethro, is slated to officially launch in February 2025! This server will bring a fresh and engaging experience for players, blending nostalgic WoW gameplay with unique features crafted by our team. Stay tuned for more details, including how to join, in the coming weeks. 2. Refinements to Aethro Listings - We’ve continued improving Aethro Listings to make it the go-to platform for server owners and gamers alike. Minecraft Network Enhancements - Over on our Minecraft network, we’ve introduced new game modes and refined existing features to keep things fun and dynamic for our players. Our survival server has been a place of adventure, creativity, and camaraderie, and it’s been an absolute joy sharing it with you. After much thought and discussion, we’ve decided to take a bold step forward to continue growing and improving the experience for everyone. With the release of the latest Minecraft version, we will be wiping the survival server on January 7th, 2025. While this wasn’t an easy decision, we believe it’s a necessary move to breathe fresh life into our world and offer new opportunities for exploration and creativity. What This Means for YouDonations: Rest assured, any donations you’ve made will carry over to the new server. Major Builds: Your hard work won’t go unnoticed—major builds will be saved as schematic files. Iron VIP and Above: Players with Iron VIP and higher ranks will keep their land claims. Our staff will use World Edit to preserve everything for you and place it wherever you’d like in the new world. New Adventures: The wipe allows us to explore fresh areas, build anew, and streamline gameplay. Streamlined FeaturesWe’re cutting down on some plugins for improved performance, but rest assured, Realistic Villagers and Realistic Seasons plugins will remain. These beloved features will continue to enhance your gameplay experience. Additionally, we’re introducing an exciting lineup of features: Server Levels: Level up and enjoy a ranking system for a new survival twist. Claiming: Claim your land and expand with extra claim blocks from the Coin Shop. Skills & Perks: Level up 15+ skills to customize your gameplay. Teams: Strategize and compete with others by forming teams. Lucky Drops: Receive random useful items when leveling up. …and much more, from Player Shops and Quests to Daily Rewards and Vote Parties! Changes to the NetworkVanilla Server Closure: Due to a lack of interest, the vanilla server will be shut down. Lobby Server Removal: With the vanilla server closing, the lobby server will also be removed. New Login System: A revamped login system will make access smoother, with premium account bypass for added convenience. It will also integrate seamlessly with our website! Discord Merging with Aethro ListingsWe’re also merging our Discord servers with Aethro Listings to create a unified hub for both gaming and listings. This consolidation will: Create a smoother and more streamlined experience for players and server owners alike. Ensure better availability of helpful staff. Add more opportunities for fun and community engagement. Simplify operations for everyone. Mark Your CalendarAll these exciting changes will take effect on January 7th, 2025. Hello Aethro Community, First off, I want to apologize for my absence, especially over these past few weeks. Life has been hectic with work commitments and rebuilding the entire Aethro Listings system due to unforeseen challenges. It’s taken more time and energy than I initially planned, but progress is being made, and I appreciate your patience. Website Updates and Current Progress I’ve been working on updating the main website, Aethro.net, to the latest back-end software version. Unfortunately, the update didn’t go as smoothly as expected—it crashed entirely, forcing me to rebuild it from scratch. While this has been a time-consuming process, I’ve made significant progress. However, with Thanksgiving here, I’ve decided to pause and spend much-needed time with my family. Work on the site will resume this Saturday. Here’s what you can expect with the new version: • Totally Redesigned Layout: A fresh look to enhance your experience navigating the site. • Minecraft Section Revamp: We’re improving the Minecraft section to include more detailed information, though the wiki will still remain the primary resource for in-depth details. • Cost-Effective Storefront: We’re shifting to an in-house system for the storefront, which will help cut down on costs and improve efficiency. • World of Warcraft Game Expansion: With our WoW game launch coming soon, dedicated pages and resources will be added to the site. • Aethro Listings Integration: You can now easily find a link to Aethro Listings in the top navigation bar, connecting our services seamlessly. Transparency and Leadership I understand that an absent owner raises concerns, especially after three years of building this community. Please know I’ve been active behind the scenes, working hard to address challenges and move Aethro forward. A big shoutout to Whabnotfound for stepping up and keeping the gaming side of Aethro running smoothly. He’s been in regular contact with me, ensuring the servers are up-to-date and managing what he can to keep things moving forward. His leadership has been invaluable, and I’m grateful for his support. Looking Ahead I’ll share more details on Saturday about what lies ahead for Aethro, including upcoming features and long-term goals.
