  1. Shadows of Aethro Update — June 11th, 2026Hello, gremlins, goblins, block gobblers, and people who definitely read patch notes before asking what changed. We have another Shadows of Aethro update, and it is full of tiny fixes, mysterious improvements, and at least one update that basically said, “Trust me bro, there is a lot in here.” Mod UpdatesCobbleBaseCobbleBase has been updated! Each pasture owner now gets control over their own working radius and downward scan reach, within server-set limits, because apparently the Pokémon needed zoning laws. There is also a new access mode that controls who else can interact with a pasture’s UI. No more random pasture button goblin behavior. Probably. There is a lot in this update, so honestly, you will just have to poke it with a stick and see what happens. Cobblemon Raid DensRaid Dens have been updated to fix a bunch of issues, including rewards not working correctly. Which is good, because doing a raid and receiving the emotional equivalent of pocket lint was not exactly the dream. Critter ArmoryCritter Armory received a library update. The critters have visited the paperwork dungeon. Everything is fine. Easy Mob FarmEasy Mob Farm has been updated with several fixes and additions: Tier 0 mob farms are now assigned correctly Bee farm bonus conversion has been fixed Added capture cards for: Mooshroom Hoglin Goat Salmon Pufferfish Axolotl Tropical Fish Allay Zoglin Endermite More creatures may now be trapped in cardboard rectangles for your farming convenience. Very normal. Very ethical. Probably. Easy NPCEasy NPC was updated, which makes things easier for us. That is the whole sentence. We accept this gift. EnvelopeEnvelope was updated to fix an issue with a few mods we do not really use anyway. Still, congratulations to Envelope for fixing drama in someone else’s house. Eternal StarlightEternal Starlight has been updated! Boss structures can now generate in more biomes, meaning the danger distribution system has become more generous. The Oblivion effect has also been weakened, because apparently it was being a little too “delete your will to live.” Field GuideField Guide received some updates, including: Updated spider icon Crash fix from a recent update The spider has been visually adjusted. Please clap politely and do not make eye contact. FTB ChunksFTB Chunks has been updated to the latest version. Chunks remain chunky. Claims remain claimy. We hope. Immersive AircraftImmersive Aircraft has been updated with fixes for: Rounding errors in statistics The GUI not hiding properly in F1 Issues when mounting aircraft from too far away Aircraft are now slightly less haunted by math, UI ghosts, and long-distance boarding nonsense. Immersive OverlaysImmersive Overlays was updated to add support for something we do not use. A beautiful update for someone, somewhere. Not us, but we support their journey. Item DescriptionsItem Descriptions was also updated for mods we do not use. Again, lovely for the imaginary ecosystem of features just outside our window. MC RebornMC Reborn has been updated to fix: Some crashes Mail inbox loading issues Family tree searching Your mail and family tree should now be less likely to enter witness protection. Sign PlatesSign Plates has been updated with several changes: Added optional Dye Depot compatibility, which we do not use Renamed Water Sign Plate to Liquid Sign Plate Changed the Liquid Sign Plate texture to grayscale for better tinting Added a client-side config option to disable sign plate tooltips Water Sign Plate has evolved into Liquid Sign Plate. Please update your emotional attachments accordingly. WaystonesWaystones was updated to fix activation visibility incorrectly showing up on Sharestones. The stones have been told to stop oversharing. Xaero’s Minimap and Xaero’s World MapXaero’s Minimap and Xaero’s World Map were both updated to fix a few annoying bugs. The map goblins have been gently bonked. Final NotesThat is it for this update! Some things are fixed. Some things are smoother. Some things are sillier. Some things changed in ways you will only discover after clicking the wrong button at 2 AM. As always, thank you for playing Shadows of Aethro. Log in, explore, test things, and please report anything weird unless the weird thing is intentional, in which case pretend we planned it all along.
  2. I know I’ve been quieter than usual lately, so I wanted to pop in and give an actual update instead of just mysteriously vanishing into the void like some kind of overworked Minecraft NPC. The last little while has been a lot. I’ve had two deaths in the family, some medical stuff going on, and quite a bit happening offline, so I’ve had to step back a bit and handle real-life things first. That said, I promise I have not abandoned ship, been eaten by a creeper, or disappeared into an unmarked cave system. While I’ve been quieter publicly, I’ve still been working on code behind the scenes. I know code progress is not always super obvious from the outside, especially when it’s backend stuff, bug fixes, cleanup, and all the boring-but-important goblin work that keeps things from catching fire. But progress is being made, even if it’s not always loud and flashy. I’ve also been working on Owners United, which is a continuation of MC Connect, one of the oldest staffing Discords for Minecraft server staff and owners. The goal is to keep that spirit going while giving it a stronger home for today’s Minecraft community — a place for owners, staff, and developers to connect, ask questions, share resources, support each other, and hopefully make running servers feel a little less like trying to organize villagers during a raid. On top of that, I’ve been helping get ready for upcoming in-person Pride events through our other family company, Jack of All Arts, which has also been taking a lot of time, planning, and energy. So basically: life has been throwing a whole boss fight at me, but I’m still here, still working, still coding, still planning things, and still slowly crawling out from under the giant pile of tasks. Thank you all for your patience, support, and understanding while I catch up. I appreciate it more than you know. More updates are coming soon — assuming I do not get defeated by my inbox first.
  3. Hey everyone, First off, we apologize for the delay in getting this update out. Life hit pretty hard over the last couple of weeks, and between my son’s birthday, my own birthday, and everything else happening at once, things got a little chaotic. That said, we are finally here with a major Shadows of Aethro modpack update, and this one includes a lot of fixes, improvements, balance changes, and new content. Major Mod Updates A large number of mods have been updated in this release, with several focusing on world generation, compatibility, bug fixes, structures, and gameplay improvements. Athena Improved loading compatibility with other mods that try to inject into the top of reload listeners. BCLib: Remastered Updated. BetterEnd: Remastered and BetterNether: Remastered Received a batch of updates focused on world generation improvements and bug fixes. Cobblemon: Simple Pokecenter Loot tables have been changed. Cobblemon Raid Dens Some fixes have been added. Cobblemon: Mega Showdown Max Mushrooms, arch sites, and Wishing Weald are now less rare. Some battle UI fixes were also included. Cobblemon: Poke Labs Received behind-the-scenes updates involving structure NBT. Cobblemore Lib Updated. NPC System Improvements Our Easy NPC system has been updated, making it easier for us to create more NPCs around the world. So yes, expect even more NPCs to annoy, assist, confuse, or possibly judge you silently while you adventure. Eternal Starlight Updates Eternal Starlight received a pretty large update with new content, balance changes, and fixes. Highlights include: • Nocturnal Millet — a new crop related to the ether. • Oblivion effect — allows players to pass through walls. • Shining Mushrooms have been added. • Etheric Eye — a new item that can teleport the user to the world surface. • Several new decorative natural blocks have been added. • More biomes have been introduced. • Abyssal Fire can now cook meat from mob drops. • Tangled now drops Soul Dew. • Frozen Tube and Permafrost Spit can now freeze lava into obsidian. • Dagger of Hunger can no longer bypass invulnerability time. • Additional fixes were also included. Fixes and Quality-of-Life Updates Field Guide Received fixes related to scanning. Immersive Overlays Received several fixes. Lootr Updated with fixes. Simple Storage Fixed an issue where every mod block was breaking without dropping an item. Waystones Fixed an issue where distance was displaying incorrectly in the waystone selection menu. Final Notes This is a pretty big maintenance and content update, especially for world generation, Cobblemon-related systems, Eternal Starlight, storage, and travel. As always, thank you all for your patience and for continuing to be part of Shadows of Aethro. Updates may sometimes get delayed, but we are still here, still working, and still trying to make the server better every step of the way. It is available on curseforge now.
  4. A new preview page for Aethro Online Achievements is now available! While Aethro Online is still in development and not yet launched, this page gives players an early look at one of the progression systems being planned for Kalismor. Achievements will help track character milestones, long-term goals, hidden discoveries, and special accomplishments once the game is ready for testing and release. There are currently 77 achievements planned, with 3,000 total points available across Skill, Job, Misc, and Hidden categories. Some achievements are visible right away so players can see what they are working toward, while others are hidden because Kalismor should still have a few secrets waiting in the dark. Achievements will be used to help track your journey through the world, celebrate long-term progression, and give players more goals beyond simply logging in and grinding. Whether you are mastering your profession, collecting wealth, surviving strange encounters, or earning rare recognition from Game Masters, the system is meant to make your character’s story feel more alive. You can check out the new page here: https://playaethro.online/mmo/achievements/ As always, Aethro Online is still in development, so the achievement list may change, expand, or get adjusted as systems continue to come online. This is another step toward making Kalismor feel like a world players can grow into, leave a mark on, and brag about surviving.
  5. New Mods Arrive in Shadows of Aethro Today! Adventurers, treasure hunters, mail goblins, dimension jumpers, and everyone who sees a mysterious item and immediately asks “but what does it do?” — today’s Shadows of Aethro update is bringing in several new mods to make exploration, loot hunting, player interaction, and general quality-of-life even better. This update adds Artifacts, Artifacts Merging, Eternal Starlight, Envelope, Jade, and Jade Addons. Artifacts Exploration is getting a lot more rewarding. Artifacts adds powerful, unique items that cannot be crafted and are instead found out in the world. That means dungeons, structures, and dangerous little “I probably should not be here” locations now have even more reasons to be explored. These artifacts can give players special abilities and useful bonuses, making them exciting finds for anyone who enjoys adventuring, looting, and chasing rare treasures. Artifacts Merging Found duplicate artifacts? Got one sitting in a chest that no one wants? Artifacts Merging gives those extras a new purpose. Players can combine two artifacts together to receive a new random artifact instead. It is a nice way to recycle unwanted or duplicate finds instead of letting them collect dust forever in the “I might use this someday” chest. Basically: artifact blender. Eternal Starlight A new dimension is joining the world of Shadows of Aethro. Eternal Starlight adds a magical and mysterious starlight dimension filled with new places to discover and explore. Expect strange sights, new adventures, and that wonderful Minecraft feeling where everything looks beautiful right before something probably tries to ruin your day. This should give explorers another major destination to uncover as the world continues to grow. Envelope For everyone who has ever wanted to send items, letters, or packages without sprinting across half the server like a medieval delivery gremlin, Envelope is here. Envelope adds letters, packages, and pigeons that can deliver things across the world. This gives players a fun new way to send mail, trade items, leave messages, or just dramatically mail someone something because walking is clearly beneath you now. It should fit especially well with towns, shops, player settlements, and community trading. Jade Jade is a helpful information display mod that shows details about what you are looking at in-game. Blocks, entities, storage, machines, and other interactive things can become much easier to understand at a glance. It is basically the “what am I staring at?” mod, which is honestly a public service in a modded Minecraft server. Jade is described as an information HUD mod and a modern Hwyla/Waila-style tool. This should make the server easier to navigate, especially for newer players or anyone trying to figure out what a modded block, machine, creature, or mysterious object actually is. Jade Addons Jade Addons expands Jade with additional support for more mods and extra information displays. That means Jade can show better details for supported modded systems instead of leaving players guessing, squinting, or asking “is this important?” every five minutes. CurseForge describes Jade Addons as additional mod support for Jade on Fabric. It is a smaller addition, but a very useful one for making modded gameplay feel smoother and less confusing. What This Means for Players More reasons to explore. Artifacts give players new treasures to hunt for in the world. Better use for duplicate loot. Artifacts Merging lets unwanted artifacts become something new. A new dimension to discover. Eternal Starlight adds another magical place for players to explore. Player mail and package delivery. Envelope gives players new ways to send letters, packages, and items. Better in-game information. Jade and Jade Addons help players understand what they are looking at without needing to alt-tab, guess, or panic. More chaos, naturally. Because this is Shadows of Aethro, and somehow the pigeons are probably still going to be more responsible than half of us. This update will be going live today for Shadows of Aethro. As always, please report any crashes, strange behavior, missing recipes, weird dimension issues, pigeon-related crimes, confusing tooltips, or artifacts that seem a little too cursed through the usual support channels. Happy exploring, happy looting, and please be kind to the pigeons. They are working very hard.
  6. Nothing too wild this time around, adventurers — just a nice round of mod updates to keep Shadows of Aethro running smoother, cleaner, and slightly more dangerous in all the right places. This update focuses mostly on fixes, stability improvements, and a few quality-of-life tweaks for mods we already use. No brand-new mods are being added with this one, so your backpacks are safe from surprise chaos today. What’s Changing? Dungeons and Villages: Deeper and Darker The mobs from Deeper and Darker have gotten stronger, so be a little more careful when wandering into the dark. The darkness has apparently been hitting the gym. BetterEnd BetterEnd received fixes for the End Stone Smelter along with several general bug fixes. The End should be a bit less grumpy now. BetterNether BetterNether received fixes related to its resources, helping keep the Nether experience a little smoother while still remaining entirely rude and on fire. WorldWeaver WorldWeaver received additional fixes for world generation, which should help improve how things generate as players continue exploring. FieldGuide FieldGuide was updated to help fix crashing issues. Less crashing is always the best kind of update. Lootr Lootr received some minor bug fixes. Nothing flashy, just a little cleanup behind the treasure chests. Sign Plates Sign Plates now supports tinting sign plates with dyes and making them glow with glow ink sacs. Time to make your signs dramatically prettier than they probably need to be. Release Timing This update is planned to release tomorrow, May 3rd, 2026. As always, thank you for playing Shadows of Aethro and helping us keep the world moving forward. Keep your gear repaired, watch your step in the deep places, and maybe do not pick a fight with anything that looks newly buffed.
  7. We have made a new update to the Cobblemon shop vendor in Shadows of Aethro! This update focuses on two main areas: adding Type Gems to the shop and cleaning up Poké Ball pricing so prices better reflect usefulness, rarity, and power. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💎 New Items: Type Gems All Cobblemon Type Gems have now been added to the shop. Type Gems are rare battle items that boost a matching move type, so they are being priced as premium items rather than cheap everyday supplies. New Type Gems added: • Normal Gem • Fire Gem • Water Gem • Electric Gem • Grass Gem • Ice Gem • Fighting Gem • Poison Gem • Ground Gem • Flying Gem • Psychic Gem • Bug Gem • Rock Gem • Ghost Gem • Dragon Gem • Dark Gem • Steel Gem • Fairy Gem Pricing: Most Type Gems are priced at 45,000. Dragon, Dark, Steel, and Fairy Gems are priced at 50,000. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚾ Poké Ball Price Adjustments Poké Ball prices have also been readjusted across the shop. Previously, a lot of specialty balls were grouped together at the same price, even when some were stronger, weaker, rarer, or more situational than others. This update gives the shop a cleaner progression and makes each purchase feel a little more intentional. What changed: • Basic Poké Balls and simple variants are now more affordable. • Great Balls and Ultra Balls now have a more sensible price progression. • Specialty balls such as Quick, Dusk, Timer, Repeat, Net, Dive, and Nest Balls are priced around their stronger conditional uses. • Safari, Sport, Park, Luxury, Beast, Master, and Ancient Origin Balls remain premium purchases. • Ancient ball variants have been adjusted to better match their modern equivalents. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🛒 Why We Made This Change The goal is to make the shop feel better for both newer and established players. Basic catching supplies should be easier to buy. Stronger Poké Balls should still feel valuable. Rare battle items should still feel rare. Overall, this should make the Cobblemon shop feel more balanced, less random, and more useful as players progress through Shadows of Aethro. As always, prices may be adjusted again if needed once we see how everything feels in actual play. Thanks for continuing to help us improve Shadows of Aethro!
  8. Hey everyone, Wanted to pull back the curtain on something we've been quietly building into the backend. Every named NPC in the game now has a persistent memory of you. Not in a scripted "if player has flag X do Y" way — in a genuine learned-behavior way. Guards, innkeepers, merchants, scholars, bandits, ancient undead, a mercenary captain who still has principles, a witch who already knows you're coming. This is just the first pass. The world is young and the cast is going to grow considerably — but we wanted this system bedded in from the start, because it changes everything about how characters feel when you interact with them. What they actually remember: When you interact with an NPC — fight them, talk to them, flee from them, kill them — that gets recorded and persists across sessions. Their reputation of you sits on a scale, and it moves based on everything you do. Kill a guard? Every guard of that faction knows. Have a conversation with the innkeeper regularly, buy from her, stay out of trouble? She starts greeting you by name when you walk through the door. But it goes deeper than a single number. They track your preferred weapon. Your fighting style. Whether you tend to run when things go badly. Your win rate over your last several encounters with that type. All of it feeds into how they behave next time you're in the same room. What that looks like in practice: Walk into The Broken Wheel Inn after killing the innkeeper twice. He tenses the moment you enter — the room describes it before he says a word. Push the reputation far enough and he stops waiting. He calls it before you can sit down. Push it further and he attacks on sight, with a line that references exactly what you've done. On the other end: the scholars in Kodaisdain are almost immediately warm because that's who they are. The Keeper of Hours at the top of her tower already seems to know your name. Captain Drevos sizes you up the moment you walk into his camp and makes a decision about you. Each character has a personality that shapes how the memory expresses itself. Faction gossip: Kill a Palace Guard at the gatehouse with enough of a reputation behind you, and the Watchmen in the square already know. The rep doesn't transfer fully — it bleeds partially to nearby NPCs of the same faction — but it means you can't compartmentalize your history as cleanly as you might hope. Adaptive fleeing: NPCs notice if you keep beating them. A road bandit you've killed several times develops a self-preservation instinct. The stone guardian in the ruins of Tulimsur does not — that's intentional — but the ones with any sense of survival start making smarter decisions about when to run. This is the foundation. Patrol routes, NPC-to-NPC relationships, characters who know things about you before you've met them — it's all coming. We wanted the bones right before we built the rest of the skeleton.
  9. Hello Aethro gremlins, A new Shadows of Aethro update is here, and this one is a mix of new toys, quality-of-life improvements, worldgen updates, and one very important grave-related replacement because apparently “your items are safe” was making promises it could not keep. Rude. AddedSign Plates More decorative sign options for builds, shops, towns, and “please stop touching my stuff” warnings. You’re in Grave Danger A new grave system has been added to help protect your items after death. This replaces the old death-item protection mod. UpdatedThe following mods have been updated: Dungeons and Villages WorldWeaverRemastered Waystones RCTAPI Easy Mob Farm Mega Showdown CobbleFurnies Better Nether Better End BCLib / related Better Nether & Better End library files These updates should bring better stability, fixes, compatibility improvements, and updated content across world generation, structures, travel, farming, furniture, and adventure systems. RemovedYour Items Are Safe Removed because, well… they were not. We have replaced it with You’re in Grave Danger, which should be a more reliable death/grave system going forward. Important NoteAs always, please report any weirdness, crashes, missing items, broken graves, or suspiciously haunted nonsense so we can look into it. Thank you for playing on Shadows of Aethro. Try not to die immediately.
  10. Hey everyone! We’ve just pushed a major update to the PlayAethro world-building archives. We know many of you have been asking about the backstory of the human race—their motivations, their history, and their place in the current meta. We’ve just launched the dedicated Human Lore page! We wanted to move beyond the "standard fantasy human" tropes and give our players something with real grit and depth. Check it out to see: Detailed history of human migration. Key lore-points that might hint at upcoming questlines. Official artwork and world-building notes. View the page here: https://playaethro.online/mmo/lore/humans/
  11. Greetings, Travelers! The shadows are shifting and the world of Aethro is evolving. We’ve been hard at work under the hood to ensure your journey through the dimensions is smoother, fairer, and a bit more stylish. 🛡️ Gear & DimensionsThe cosmic energies of the BetterEnd and BetterNether have stabilized. Armor Overhaul: We’ve applied essential fixes to Terminate and Thallium sets. Stats & Style: Both the armor values and the visuals have been corrected. You’ll now look as tough as you actually are! 🏛️ Cobblebase & Pokémon FixesThe heart of our world is getting some much-needed maintenance: Deep Sea Cleaning: We’ve refined the Diving Job list. 25 non-diving Pokémon that had no business being at the bottom of the ocean have been removed. 168 species remain for your aquatic expeditions! Pasture Tether 2.0: Water-type Pokémon are finally free! The pasture system will no longer teleport them out of their natural habitat. They can now swim freely, and if they happen to end up on land, they’ll be placed directly back into nearby water. Admin/Producer Tools: Internal updates for producers to help keep the server running like a well-oiled machine. 🤝 The Recruiter’s GuildFriend Recruiter: Prof 5 has undergone a balance change. It will no longer summon Legendaries (we're currently cooking up a more balanced alternative for this). The Upside: To compensate, the rarity odds for other encounters have been significantly boosted! 🐛 Bug SquashingProducer Exploit: Fixed a cheeky exploit involving instant drops. Keep it fair, folks! Resource World: We’ve pushed a major update to the Resource World to address the recurring errors. It should be much more stable for your mining trips. Safe travels, and may your catches always be critical!
  12. We’re getting closer to bringing Aethro Online to life. While the game itself isn't ready for login just yet, we are officially opening up the two main pillars of the project so you can see what we’re building. Since Aethro is a non-graphical, text-based experience, the foundation of the game relies entirely on its systems and its story. These new pages are here to give you a look under the hood. 🗺️ The Aethro Online IndexThe MMO Index is the structural home for the project. Instead of a "how-to," think of this as the framework. It outlines the scope of the game and the systems we’re implementing. As we get closer to launch, this will evolve into the central hub for everything related to the game's mechanics and technical structure. 📜 The Lore IndexA world without graphics needs a massive amount of narrative weight to feel real. The Lore Index is where that happens. We’ve started cataloging the history, the world-building, and the myths that will drive your roleplay once we go live. If you want to get a head start on the setting or start thinking about character backgrounds, this is your starting point. What’s Next?Opening these portals is a huge step in our development roadmap. It gives us a centralized place to store all the information that makes Aethro Online unique. We’ll be updating these pages constantly as we move through the final phases of pre-launch. Explore the progress here: System Framework: playaethro.online/mmo/index/ World History & Lore: playaethro.online/mmo/lore/index/ Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the official launch!
  13. We have done some updates to the Shadows of Aethro server today - Pokeballs have had a small price decrease in the Cobble Shop Mobs have had their strength reduced. Added Quick Paths! You can now crouch and right click on a grass block to start, and right click on the last grass block to finish it. A rotating daily shop has been added to the system. We will be adding this to the world shop soon. Cobblebase has had some updates - When you have a Prof level 5 there is a chance every 30 minutes a legendary pokemon will spawn! We will be continuing to update the server as we go forward!
  14. It is with a profound sense of humility and renewed purpose that I share a project twenty years in the making: Aethro Online - Chronicles of Kalismor. For over two decades, I have carried a vision of a dark, immersive world fueled by the mystery of mana stones and the heavy toll of geopolitical war. This is more than just a game; it is a living narrative where cities and villages are under constant threat, and the story is propelled by real-time events orchestrated by dedicated Game Masters. The most vital element of this journey, however, is you. In Chronicles of Kalismor, the developers do not dictate the ending. We are building a stage where the players’ choices drive the evolution of the world. It is a rare experience in the modern gaming landscape to see a world truly change based on the actions of its community, and I am honored to finally bring that level of agency back to the genre. The road to this moment has not been easy. While earlier attempts at both 2D and 3D versions of this world were waylaid by life’s unexpected challenges and family responsibilities, those years of reflection have only strengthened my resolve. The setbacks of the last eight years have shaped me, and I am deeply grateful to finally have the time and opportunity to see this vision through. The Journey BeginsThe story of Kalismor officially begins today. In the coming weeks, I will be releasing the foundational lore and the dark histories that define this realm. I am also looking for passionate volunteers—visionaries and storytellers who want to help enrich this world and facilitate the events that will engage our community. If you have ever wanted to help craft a story that truly breathes, I would be humbled to have you by my side. Thank you for your patience and for being part of this long-awaited milestone. I look forward to seeing how you will change the world of Kalismor forever.
  15. Hey folks—sorry for the silence lately. I had to go "dark" to handle some family matters and finish out my day job. Now that things have stabilized, I’m back in action. I've been busy moving the website over to support my 24-year passion project (the online game), but don't worry—the SoA modpack isn't being changed to "fit" the new game. However, it is getting a massive face-lift this weekend. What’s happening Sunday: This is a major update. We’re looking at updates to almost 26 different mods. Resource World: The "holy grail" fix is finally here. It’ll finally work the way I intended. Engine Room: I'm implementing a multi-core system to keep memory usage low and exploration smooth. The List: With ~26 mods changing, the update list is going to be a long one. I’ll see you all Sunday with the full notes. Thanks for sticking by me!
  16. Here comes today’s magnificently unhinged patch notes, now with extra sparkle courtesy of our freshly updated Drops Mod: Easy Mob Farm Cleaned up some memory leaks and resource trickles. It now behaves less like a toddler with a juice box. Hearlds Recipes fixed and colors refreshed. Heraldic glow-up complete. Create: The Factory Must Grow A renegade tag ignored the Factory Growth Mandate. It has been reassigned to mandatory labor. Structurize A handful of tiny, crunchy bugs squashed. Buildings are 4% sassier and 12% less broken. MineColonies – the villagers filed a novella-length complaint list, so here’s the summary: • Builders continue their architectural rampage: more blueprints, more improvements, fewer crimes against geometry. • Town Scribes simplified permissions. Mark someone “hostile” to have guards whack them; mark someone “manager” to let them hear colony gossip and load chunks. • Guards now pay more attention to enemies, even when they’re “not looking.” • Raiders realized attacking dead things is pointless. Enlightenment achieved. • Massive food rebalance—citizens eat less like ravenous void demons. • Colony signs now require a level 1+ gatehouse. Bureaucracy thrives. • MineColonies crops can be right-click harvested with a hoe. Farming efficiency unlocked. • Citizens now sit on actual chairs instead of hover-meditating above them. • Smelting workers no longer get spiritually trapped by leftover furnace goo. • Restaurant waiters will still work even while hungry. Late-stage capitalism speedrun. • Builders accept farmland as solid ground again. Physics restored. Byzantine Style A few historically inaccurate bugs were exiled. Create: Framed Cardboard blocks received therapy and now behave properly. Better Combat Fixed weapon attributes that mysteriously had zero attack power. Turns out “no damage” is not a combat strategy. Aethro Events A brand-new event arrives to disrupt your day, and Santa has returned from the multiverse to resume his reign of festive mayhem. NMPC Removed because we actually use CurseForge like civilized modders. Drops Mod The shiny new Aethro Drops patch is LIVE! Fresh code, cleaner behavior, better loot logic, and far fewer existential crises inside your item tables. Yes, this is the same one we just rebuilt—flexing it proudly. The universe expands, the mods update, and somewhere out there a colonist is thrilled to finally sit on a chair like a normal person.
  17. Spur drops added. You can now earn the most pathetic currency in existence by bonking mobs or smashing blocks. Farms do not count because that would be cheating and the universe says no. Events system updated. Rampaging Santa has arrived. He is jolly. He is unstoppable. He wants milk, cookies, and maybe your kneecaps. TooManyRecipeViewers updated so it stops lying to you. The BumbleZone updated. Bees fixed their bugs. Yes that sentence is cursed. Amendments updated. Probably important. Probably legal. Who knows. MineColonies updated. Your villagers will continue to ignore you but with more efficiency. FTB Quests updated. The book yells at you slightly less. Create: Hypertubes updated. Now with more whoosh. Stylecolonies updated so your colonies can continue to serve looks. Create: Framed updated. Boxes but fancy. Lootr updated. Trying to fix the chests that refuse to convert like stubborn little cryptids. Sophisticated Storage updated. Time to hoard with style. Create: Escalated updated. Everything escalates. Always.
  18. Title: “We Touched Literally Everything Again” Guess what got updated? Everything. Again. Your modpack is now held together with duct tape, dreams, and version numbers that look like IP addresses. 🆕 Brand New Chaos🚄 Create: Hyper Tunnels Fast travel but make it stupid fun. Build hyper tunnels and yeet yourself across the world at speeds that should probably be illegal. Perfect for: Fleeing creepers Getting to your friend’s base in 0.3 brain cells Regretting not putting a wall at the end of the tunnel 🔧 Updated Mods (They Still Exist, Just Less Broken)These are updates, not new shiny toys. We just made the existing ones (hopefully) work better: 📘 FTB Quests Your quest book got a tune up. Fewer bugs, more “do your chores, adventurer.” 🏙 MineColonies Colonists received… “adjustments.” Maybe smarter. Maybe dumber. Definitely more dramatic. 💧 AllTheLeaks Patched, tweaked, and re-stabilized so your world doesn’t cry itself to sleep. 🏺 Byzantine Styles Your builds can still look like royalty. Just slightly more optimized royalty. 🏭 The Factory Must Grow Performance and behavior tweaks so your industrial hellscape runs smoother while your TPS cries softer. 🎒 Sophisticated Core / Backpacks / Storage / Create Integration Inventory and storage systems updated so your loot hoarding habit has fewer technical breakdowns. 🔪 Create: Slice and Dice Your auto-farm murder machine mod got some love. More slices, fewer crashes. 📦 Sophisticated Storage More stable boxes for your emotional damage and 9,000 cobblestone. 💭 QuarkPonders Ponder scenes and QoL bits updated so you can stare at gears spinning and question reality in higher quality. 🌍 Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone Biome adjustments so your worldgen looks better and breaks less. ✅ What You Should DoUpdate your pack to 3.2.11.18.2025 Log in Build a cursed Hyper Tunnel Launch yourself across the server and question physics Shadows of Aethro stays scuffed, but in a slightly more polished way.
  19. Simple and small update today! A brand new Resource World has been added to the game! To enter, build a portal frame from gold blocks (4x5) and light it just like a Nether portal. Step through — and good luck! Keep in mind: Resource World is a temporary world that resets multiple times a month. Do not build your home here — it’s meant purely for gathering materials. Staff will not replace any lost items from this world.
  20. The holidays have officially invaded Shadows of Aethro! We’ve added 🎄 Christmas Trees (for all your chaotic decorating needs) and 🦃 Turkeys (for… reasons). Go ahead, chase one. See what happens. 👀 Minor updates all around — except Create, because Create is still throwing a tantrum and refusing to cooperate. ✨ What got updated while the elves weren’t looking: 🧱 All the Leaks 🏛️ Byzantine Styles 🥒 Cucumber Library (fresh pickles, now with more crunch) 🧍 Customizable Player Models 🎀 Domum Ornamentum 🧺 Inventory Sorter (your messy chests are still judging you) 📜 Jauml 🏗️ MineColonies 🌙 Moonlight Lib 🌳 Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone 🏘️ Small Colonies (MineColonies Addon) 🐝 Bumblezone 🌲 Twilight Forest 🎅 It’s beginning to look a lot like chaos… 🎮 Download the mod at https://l.aethro.net/forge-pack
  21. The devs have been busy poking at things they probably shouldn’t, and somehow it worked. ⚔️ War N Taxes v3.26 Raid History got a glow-up — it now actually remembers who bonked who! Also patched the Tax GUI so you can see how broke you are in style, and fixed the WebAPI so it stops screaming internally. 🔧 Other Mods Got a Spa Day Too: Applied Energistics 2 (less crashy, more flashy) Byzantine Styles (ancient bling) MineColonies Compatibility Addon (because teamwork makes the lag work) Cyclops Core (blinking more efficiently) GuideME (now slightly less confusing) MineColonies (your colonists are still idiots, but shinier ones) Sophisticated Storage (Marie Kondo approved) Tweaks Addon for MineColonies (tweaked the tweaks) 💾 Client update required! Go update before your colony stages a tax revolt.
  22. Time for another round of chaos and questionable coding decisions! 🧩 New Mods AddedCrafting Tweaks Adds buttons to rotate, clear, and balance your crafting grids. Perfect for lazy crafters who call it “efficiency.” Emojiful Chat now supports actual emojis. Yes, you can cry-laugh at your colony burning down. 😂🔥 🔧 Updated Mods Mob Loot Bags Completely recoded from the ground up. This should fix the warden issue. Should. If one still spawns, consider it an unscheduled boss fight. MineColonies More stability. Fewer colonists mining straight into the void. The Bumblezone Bee paradise got a solid tune-up. Buzz responsibly. Sophisticated Storage & Backpacks Now with fewer storage tantrums and smoother syncing. Applied Energistics 2 Minor stability fixes for your network. Gravestones Improved compatibility and cleaner death markers for your oops moments. Oh The Trees You’ll Grow Trees are slightly less cursed now. Slightly. Supplementaries A bit more supplementary than before. All The Leaks Plugged. Maybe. Moonlight Lib Updated because everything else would riot if we didn’t. ⚠️ Client Update RequiredMake sure to update your modpack before joining. If you don’t, expect spontaneous combustion and judgmental colonists. Final WordsBuzz on, build on, and for the love of bees — stop spawning wardens.
  23. 🎉 BIG UPDATE DAY on Shadows of Aethro! 🎉 Alright folks, buckle up — the update train has arrived and it’s loaded with chaos, fixes, and a few broken dreams. Here’s what’s new: 🧙‍♂️ JEI → EMI Swap! JEI has been replaced with EMI because EMI’s lighter, faster, and doesn’t scream when it loads. If you really miss JEI, fine. Go reinstall it yourself. 💧 AlltheLeaks Got its act together — fewer crashes, fewer memory leaks. Basically, it’s now less of a fire hazard. 📜 Amendments, Balm, BlockUI, Chat Heads, Connectivity All updated and shiny. No major drama, just code magic. 🪨 Every Compat (Gems, Stone, Wood) Yeeted. Gone. Banished. Why? Because they made new players wait 10–15 minutes to load in. Quark already does the same stuff but better, so goodbye lag bricks. ⚔️ War & Taxes Raids now actually steal your taxes. Yep. Welcome to government-approved robbery. 🎒 Sophisticated Backpacks (and friends) Core, Storage, and Create Integration — all updated. Time to pack smarter, not harder. 🏰 MineColonies + Supplementaries Tweaks Big colony love here: Guards actually update their banners now (fashion matters). Gatehouse lets non-officers teleport too — for a small price, of course. Teleports land in the middle of the gatehouse instead of “somewhere nearby.” Archers learned gravity is real and will stop swan-diving off towers. 🧩 And a bunch of other little tweaks You know the drill — smoother, faster, less laggy, more Aethro-y. Get those clients updated, get in game, and prepare for whatever cursed behavior comes next. #ShadowsOfAethro #UpdateDay #SendHelp
  24. Filed by the Chaotic Conductor and the very tired Rail Mages ⏱ Stop Times UpdatedThe Westbound line (Spawn → Eldermire) now lingers 10 seconds at each station, giving players just enough time to panic about forgotten tickets. At Spawn, the train waits a full 60 seconds for sleepy heroes to crawl out of bed and still catch it. 🚧 Eldermire BarricadesThe Train Shop has closed its doors. Eldermire officials are stacking barricades of questionable design and shouting about “outsiders with too many potatoes.” If you’re holding potatoes, try not to look guilty. ⚙️ Ongoing TinkeringOur engineers are still experimenting with train type, size, and possibly a version that scolds you in twelve languages if you jump on the roof. Further adjustments are coming. 💡 Traveler’s Wisdom The train lives. The borders tighten. Chaos continues. Ride wisely, keep your tickets dry, and never trust a gremlin offering “express upgrades.”
